Unfortunately not. Due to the limited season we cannot guarantee availability for the Christmas feast when purchasing gift cards.
Solliden sits on the heights of Skansen and offers one of Stockholm’s most beautiful views of the city. Just inside the main entrance there is an escalator that takes you up to the heights. Once at the top, turn right and follow the path to Sollidsplan. Alternatively, walk the main path to the right and continue up towards the Solliden area. The walk takes about 10 minutes through Skansen’s historic surroundings.
By public transport: Tram 7 stops at Skansen. Bus 67 stops at Skansen. The Djurgården ferry from Slussen stops at Allmänna Gränd, about a five-minute walk from Skansen’s entrance. By car: Parking is available in several locations around Djurgården, including at Galärvarvet and along Djurgårdsvägen. Spaces are limited and public transport is often recommended for larger events.
No. Christmas feast guests receive access to Skansen in connection with their visit. More information about how this works is sent together with the booking confirmation.
Yes. Please contact us in advance if anyone in your group has special needs and we will assist.
Solliden is one of Skansen’s most well-known and beloved places. The restaurant and terrace sit high above Djurgården with a magnificent view over Stockholm and have for generations been a natural gathering place for Stockholmers and visitors. Here people have celebrated holidays, national days, concerts and major life events for over a century. With its unique location in the heart of the world’s oldest open-air museum, Solliden unites Swedish history, culture and gastronomy in a way few other places can. Experiencing the Christmas feast at Solliden is therefore not just a dinner – it is part of a living Swedish tradition.
Yes. We warmly recommend setting aside some extra time to experience Skansen’s atmospheric Christmas setting before or after your visit. During the Christmas season the area is filled with lights, traditions and beautiful views over Stockholm.
Bookings are most easily made via our booking page. If you have questions regarding larger groups, corporate events or private arrangements you are warmly welcome to contact us directly.
