70 years later, Leif Mannerström returns to where it all began
Leif Mannerström has a special connection to Solliden. At 16, he began his culinary journey right here, learning the arts of pickling and curing from the pantry chefs in the kitchen. Knowledge and recipes that have stayed with him throughout an entire career.
Now, exactly 70 years later, Leif returns to the place where it all began. This time to leave his mark on Solliden’s Christmas Feast and to carry forward the traditions of both the place and Swedish Christmas cuisine.
“For me, it is very special to be back at Solliden. This is where my culinary journey began, 16 years old, exactly 70 years ago, when I learned about pickling and curing from the pantry chefs in the kitchen – recipes I still carry with me today. I look forward to caring for Solliden’s heritage and creating a Christmas Feast that is something truly special. Something worthy of this fantastic place,” says Leif Mannerström.
