Restaurant Solliden
Restaurant Solliden was built in 1950–52 and has since been one of Stockholm’s most beloved destinations for culinary experiences and exceptional views.
The interior is adorned with beautiful frescoes created by the distinguished artist Hilding Linnqvist, giving the space a unique artistic character.
The legendary designer Stig Lindberg was responsible for the design, making Solliden an architectural and design-historical landmark.
Solliden enters a new phase with Stureplansgruppen as the new restaurateurs. With respect for the character of the place, the
environment has been refined, where historical layers meet contemporary appeal and new ways to experience the whole.
The summer restaurants are now open, and Solliden continues to take shape in stages throughout the year. A destination where
atmosphere, encounters, and moments take center stage, rooted in its history, shaped for the present.
Skansen, founded in 1891 by Artur Hazelius, is the world’s first open-air museum and a unique place that preserves and conveys Swedish history, culture, and traditions.
With over 150 historic buildings, Nordic animals, and living traditions, Skansen offers visitors a journey through Sweden’s past.
From midsummer celebrations and allsång to Christmas markets – Skansen and Solliden have together become synonymous with Swedish holidays.
